First-someone asked me how to present questions-just drop me an email.

Q: ....... child spacing. What is the best time to have the next baby. Should we with ic background wait longer, so our bodies get back in balance first.
Would two pregnancies and breastfeeding deplete the body too much?
(I wonder if baby led weaning, which happens around age 3 or 4, means we shouldn't get pregnant before that)

A: I think the most important thing for getting pregnant is waiting for your body to be well enough, balanced enough to nourish the baby in the healthiest way possible. This means inflammaiton should be at a minimum and your symptoms should be calm calm calm. For those of you whom have read my dissertation, you are fmiliar with vertical translocation. This is when the mother hands down to the baby her microbiological imbalance. This happens when the baby is being carried by a mother who is imbalanced. When this happens, then the baby tends to be born with chronic issues such as allergies, eczema, digestive issues, etc... This is obviously not optimal.

When it comes to the second baby, considering the first one was conceived with proper timing, I think giving your body time to recover and rebalance itself is important. BUT, depending on the luxury of time you have available to you-this may need to be altered to suit your individual family planning. I dont think the continuity of breast feeding will be tragic, but, it may be ard on your body to have one baby after the other. Also, "they" say that spacing the babies by about 3-4 years these days is a good idea in order to really encourage their individual experience of being raised.

I suppose there are many arguments from the various perspectives. But, basically, if youa re taking good care of yourself--eating well, taking supplements if you need them, and nothing too challenging happened with your delivery--I would say wait at least two years for the next one to get pregnant again. The body has plenty of time then to readjust, you ahve had time to maybe finally get a little sleep, they will be three years apart, which, seems like a good spacing, and everyone is good to go!:)

This, of course, is just my opinion:)

My first daughter seems quite healthy. My second daughter (born only 19 months later) has digestive issues. I did not know I had IC as I had no super obvious symptoms at the time, but both girls have been impacted by my imbalanced flora. Of course in between girls I made relatively poor lifestyle choices. Anyone under ICAMA care that is doing family planning would be doing lots of good things to prepare themselves for pregnancy!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

One more thing about GBS-in some other countries, they dont even test for it. That makes a big statement to me.
