We have been telling patients for years not to use anti-microbial soaps due to the adverse effects that they create in those using them. I have forbidden my children from allowing these soaps and hand sanitozers to be placed on them at their schools despite quite intense push back from their teachers and school administrators.
This is the first article that I have read indicating that the medical public is beginning to realize just how destructive these types of substances are and what a negative impact they are having on the health of the population.

I refuse to use these
I refuse to use these products at work, which has not gone over well, but now knowing how detremental they have been to my health there is no way I will be forced to use it. I really do hope this will be the start for a bigger push for safer products in the healthcare system. Thanks for sharing!

Some schools mandate that kids have one of those littlte bottles of hand sanitizer attached to the child's backpack. ARGH!!!!

That is so frustrating, Deir! At work we have a squirt in and squirt out policy everytime we enter and leave a patient's room for any reason. Think of all that exposure. Awful!!!
