Supplements

Today I spoke to a patient that I have not spoken to in a very long time and it reminded me of a really important issue.

Taking herbs on your own can truly upset the balance in your body. If you are not under the care of a professional and are taking supplements and are experiencing concerning symptoms, you should consult with someone who can shed light on the situation. This person had ongoing symptoms and in addition had actual changes in her blood work that may be an indication of an actual disease and, in my opinion, this could have been caused by self treating in a very unbalanced way for a long period of time.

It is very important to understand what the effects are of supplements you are taking and how they should be combined and how long they should be used, etc...

So, be careful.

I am one of these people who has in the past done a lot of self treating with herbs for various things- mostly because I had never found a health practitioner who I could trust 100%(until now.) I am actually so relieved to be in treatment with Dr Brizman - relieved of the burden of figuring this all out on my own. I can throw away about 2 dozen various supplement containers! My counters and cabinets are so clear now!
ahhhhh- (sigh of relief)

I too was taking way too many supplements before I met with Dr. Brizman.  I have thrown them all away and am happy to be taking far less supplements.  I could have seriously hurt myself and I am quite sure I have made it harder on my body to heal than it needed to be.
