For those of you who have read my dissertation you know that pain relievers and NSAIDs are one substance correlated with the destruction of the GUT ultimately leading to the cascade of events that lead to chronic illness.

For this reason, I do not use these medications on my own children and I highly recommend against them when treating patients. Of course as parents, there are always those moments when you panic and think to yourself "oh, I just need to give my child some relief". In children's given these medications, I have noticed intense anger response following the dose after several hours. Anger, BTW, is an emotion that we correlate with the Liver being disturbed, interesting. But, this may give you pause for thought next time you reach for that "quick solution"

Today in both the states and UK articles were published:

Thanks. I forwarded this to my mom friends!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Sometimes it seems impossible to push through the pain and see the light at the end of the tunnel. But these posts help remind me why I need to keeping pushing away the pain meds to give my gut and liver a fighting chance. I have worked too hard to possibly take any further steps back. Nearly 2 years without any pain meds, it hasn't been a walk in the park, but I know it is best. Thanks for these reminders, really needing this at the moment!!!
