Vaccines

I posted last week about a patient who had a very bad reaction to a flu vaccine. Vaccines, while not directly related to IC are in fact related. They have a great impact on our health, as do many other medications. So, our awareness of this issue becomes very important as we try to do our best to keep our bodies operating in optimal balance.

This awareness not only effects each of us, but, if we have children, it very importantly impacts the next generation. Our awareness effects the choices we make for our children and may profoundly effect our children's life one way or another. Wow, I believe it. Before I started here, my primary doctor pratically forced a vaccination on me. The next day I had the worst flare I ever experienced in my life. They need to stop doing this. These are causing so many problems.
I think we all need to fight against this:

"What You Can Do to Make a Difference

While it seems "old-fashioned," the only truly effective actions you can take to protect the right to informed consent to vaccination and expand vaccine exemptions, is to get personally involved with your state legislators and the leaders in your community.
THINK GLOBALLY, ACT LOCALLY.
Mass vaccination policies are made at the federal level but vaccine laws are made at the state level, and it is at the state level where your action to protect your vaccine choice rights can have the greatest impact.
