I can only imagine how hard this site was to get up and running. So, even though I HATE change and am so technologically backward on having any need or want for these changes, I've bit my tongue to avoid lashing out like some small child who had her favorite well loved, well worn toy taken away and replaced by something that she simply doesn't understand. Please, someone, tell me that I'm not the only one who doesn't get it? So, you ask to let you know if something isn't working as it' s supposed to. Since I have no idea how it's supposed to work, here's my list of questions.
Is there any way to directly E-mail someone?
Is there any way to track someone? I know it sounds stalker like but it was so helpful in learning their story and remembering who you were responding to.
What the heck topic constitutes as Members only Private? If this is where we're to put all of our fears, hopes, doubts to hide from the rest of the world, aren't we leaving out the best parts of our humanity to leave as a trail of hope? I have to tell you, for myself, knowing that someone else out there was as desperate and lonely as I was, gave me the strength and courage and faith to do what could have been the stupidest move of my life. As it turns out, largely due to the honesty and humanity that rang through, I made one of the best decisions of my life. The other one was Alvin - he's cute orange and fuzzy... goes Meow.... : )

Oh, and I'm sad that the UK group doesn't want to play with us any more. (I never said that I'm always an adult)

The site looks great and it seems like most of the functionality is working at this point. Thanks to you and Boaz for all your hard work! It might be great if you could do a post explaining to everyone how each of the different areas of the forum work, just so the info is clear and out there. It looks to me like I can see the "Members Only" forum if I'm logged in, otherwise it disappears - which I think makes sense. Here are a couple of suggestions/thoughts I had:

1. I miss being able to contact people through the forum- via the ICAMA email thing. It was great to be able to reach out to people personally. I have many people's emails at this point that I want to contact, but newbies will miss out if that's no longer an available option.

2. I agree with Denise that I wish we could still "track" people. As an early patient, it was very encouraging to be able to look through the trajectory of posts left by patients who went from desperate to well.

3. I miss the "New Forum Topics" and "Active Forum Topics" sidebar being more robust. 10 posts rather than 3 enabled me to easily dig deeper into what was being discussed. I'm finding that I'm missing out on a lot of conversations because it is less obvious where I should be looking, if that makes sense. I think it's a simple widget switch that would make that possible in the sidebar...

4. Is it possible for us to post images? Especially with recipes, etc., it's great to be able to have a visual...

5. Visually, it'd be great if we could easily have paragraph indentation or auto space between paragraphs work on the forum to make reading the entries a little clearer.

I'm working on re-doing my organization's website right now, too, and I know that it is an insane amount of work - especially for you two on top of treating patients, etc. - thanks to you and Boaz for all the effort that's gone into this!

Strange thing, not sure how to explain it, but looks like when someone tries to post a new topic that has the same heading as an old post it pulls up the old post with all the old replies, but appears as a new user posted it. I tried adding a comment to an old post of mine that popped up when someone tried to start a new thread with the same topic and once I replied the two topics then split, but both are still the same post. Does that make any sense? May have to just look at it to understand. The most recent is under cod liver oil. Maybe I'm the only one seeing this? Thanks for all the hard work! Yes, it would be nice to have the email option again! Nice to have had that ability to connect with other patients especially early in treatment and not have to share email/phone numbers on a more open space. Thank you!!!
