HI,  My husband is hoping to get off soft drinks.  I was wondering if Matia approves any teas to help people get through the mid day slump?  My husband eats foods with sugar if he is not eating soft drinks.  Do any of you know any approved foods or suppliments that wouldhelp?  Thanks.

Is he in treatment too? WOW this could be a really fun project! I bet if you went to Pinterest ( careful this is an addictive place) and did a search for delicious refreshing soda alternative you would find a treasure trove of ideas. Maybe I will do so right now. WOW. YUP just did that. Typed in "Refreshing soda alternative" or "tea for energy" in the search. " I would suggest exploring some fruity green teas and mixing in some of that yogi tea with the siberian ginseng for energy. I asked her about Mate which gives fantastic energy and she said it was very cold in nature and probably not a good idea to do too much of that at all FOR ME.  Not sure if they sell that brand ( LaCroix) where you live but I think you could if you went to the health food store look into something like that. ON a majorly rare occasion I have ( list 5) has some La Croix which is fruit flavored carbonated water ( not Matia approved necessarily I just tried it and it was ok) mixed splash of that with some Arrowhead sparkly water for a "drink" at a party so I could sip something refreshing along with my flat spring water. So I know that carbonation is not necessarily good for you - perhaps there are some agave sweetened or sugar free sparkly yummy fruit sparkly waters available for an occasional bubbly treat. i wonder if you mixed a spash of fruit sweetened juice to some Pellegrino water or natural carbonated mineral water? Is he just not into water? I HATED drinking water as a child and only realized WHY was becasue our tap water was chlorinated disgustingness. If only I had other options? Aren't there like some natural fruity powders that are sugar free and full of vitamins and minerals and stuff?  I wonder if since he likes the soda thing maybe he would be into a tea that has sasperilla in it? You could look up healthy tea blends ( all assuming he is not in tx) that have things that are deeply nourishing like nettles, red clover, ( high in vitamins and are tonics) and yummy stuff like lemon balm and hibiscus or mint and vanilla bean to flavor it. Find out what flavors he enjoys and then see if there are any teas that can replicate that. Just do "tea recipe blends" searches.  Is his flavor fav dark more licorice flavor or is it the root beery/chocolatey flvor, lemony? Maybe look into Kefir waters that are flvored. It's sparkly from the natural fermentation. Again this is only for someone that has no leaky gut as that those items can make you worse if you have a leaky gut. Too much good bacteria stuff too soon. Just throwing some ideas out there.
