Change is a fundamental part of this kind of treatment. Holistic medicine is ineffectiveif it is not changed throughout treatment. What makes a person feel better in the beginning stages of treatment will no longer work as treatment continues. Contraryto the beliefs of many, it is not because it stopped working, but, rather because the changes it was meant to have on the body's imbalances have taken place and the step needs to be taken. Where the problem comes in, is that understandably, the person

This week I received a beautiful letter from a husband of one of my patients who has been in treatment for under a year now. He thanked me for helping to give them both their lives back. He said they had been completely lost at the time they found me and were hopeless.Over the months he watched as his wife's health improved and he began to see the womanhe had once known emerge from inside the different version of herself that she had morerecently become. I thanked him for taking a moment to share his feelings with me. It

When people come here to this clinic, one of the most common questions is: "haveyou seen someone who has symptoms like this before?". The reason is becauseas much as there are so many common symptoms, it is true that there are groups of symptoms. And, depending on who you are speaking to you may or may not have symptoms in common. Early in my practice I thought to myself, if I could only just come up with a broad enough treatment, I could find one easy solution that would

A patient asked me this week how she could possibly ever mend the pain that she hasinside herself, and pondered what part her IC had in the issues that life has presented herwith. I responded with an empathetic heart, one that too has been broken, many times, with what has felt like irreparable pain. The involvement of IC on top of such paincan become a compounding complication to that pain because of the lack of understandingthat one often experiences in this condition and the lack of optimism one may have in evergetting well.

I am going to try and do it that way this time and let's hope the connection is better. Please comment on what you would like to discuss and I will try and provide time for as many subjects as possible within the two hour period.

Someone asked me today to briefly discuss why antibiotics are not a good idea. OK, this is a long and involved subject. And, in my book, it is all explained. But, briefly, it has been my experience that antibiotics actually exacerbate the underlying cause of any bacterial issues present in chronic illnesses. Antibiotics are, in fact, one of the majorcontributing factors of IC and other chronic illnesses in my humble opinion. So, whenone is taking antibiotics to mend a situation in which a bacterial imbalance has been

Hopefully whatever holiday you are celebrating, you are with loved ones, and are warm, and having a beautiful time. Things are quiet now, as probably they should be at this time of year. No matter what you celebrate, I think it is a time for reflection and contemplation of what has transpired in the past year and what will develop in the new one. Change is optimistic and full with hope. I wish each of you health and happinessin the coming days, months, and years. And, I am thinking of each of you during the time
