Lately the issue of veggies has been coming up for a lot of people in treatment lately so, I thought I would post on the subject.

In Chinese medicine, texts suggest that vegetables be eaten cooked for those with digestive weakness, or, AKA, Spleen Qi deficiency. And, in some cases, I also make that recommendation, where it seems applicable. In those cases, it is more likely that the person has so much pain and bloating in their abdomen that eating raw veggies would create more gasses and therefor create more pain and pressure on the bladder.

Just kidding.

Actually, a hotel IN California, RIGHT around the corner-almost-from our office that we often will refer our out of town patients to has extended ICAMA patients a special rate of $99.00 per night.

Holiday Inn Express West Los Angeles
11250 Santa Monica Blvd.
Los Angeles, California
310-478-1400
800-308-5432
Tell them you are one of BOMAMED/ICAMA patients

Their normal rate is $189.00 per night.

I cannot tell you the number of times over these years that I have heard the words, "I wish I had cancer, that would be better than IC."

It seems natural to wish that what was happening in one's body-wasn't. But, the old saying, "be careful what you wish for", is something that I think is wise advice. In many of the cases where people made comments like that, they then faced other things that felt even more humbling and debilitating making the IC pale in comparison.

...requires a lot of comprehensive communication and hard work as well as time to work. Often times, one may not have a breakthrough for quite some time in severe cases.

Working through diet, supplements, lifestyle changes, etc... and trying to bring the body from severe imbalance to balance again is not an easy or simple task.

Many times, patients drop off very early in treatment because they don't understand how this type of treatment works. So, I wanted to post a reminder.

Something that is really important to know, is that often when you are starting to get ahead of your imbalances, the sugar cravings reemerge.

I just finished an appointment with someone who was doing outstandingly well in all aspects from bladder to hair and then the cravings hit and she caved in! Needless to say, the vaginal discharge started, the energy went down, the bloating went up, the hair started falling out, the sleep went bad, etc.. etc...

I am so sorry if anyone missed the meeting-completely my fault. I posted late!!

We had another great meeting. They are so informative and enjoyable for everyone, including me!

Everyone had lots of great information to share.

If you didn't get a chance to join this month, please do so next month.

also we talked about a lot of aesthetic things that many of you wanted to talk about, but i think many of you who wanted that weren't there. So, we can talk about them again next month.

A patient sent this article to me and I thought it was a fun one, and would pass it along. She likes eating celery and it makes her feel good. Lots of people who eat celery at beginning stages do not feel good from celery-I am not advocating eating lots of celery. And, I don't advocate juicing at all. However, it is interesting and always fun to read about the wonderful things that just food can do.

If you do do well with celery-enjoy it, knowing it has lots of good things for you in it. If you can't eat it, don't worry, you will be able to down the line.

Dr. Mercola evidently did a post on the stages people go through to get well from chronic illness. A patient just sent me an excerpt from that article. I did not read the original. I am going to post it down below.

I want to say think you to all of you who contributed to giving me updates to the food guide list. I really appreciate it. As you all know, I dedicate a lot of my free time to making myself available to all of you so that I can help you as much as possible through this difficult journey.

Consequently, I am very short on time. So, doing this helped me a lot. I would love to update this list more and more. So, if you have time, please don't hesitate to send me more product information.
