Recently more past and current patients seem to be thinking it is spring time:) OK not that, they are getting pregnant, well, they actually got pregnant. IT is really lovely. This is my favorite part of treatment. Pregnancy can be such a wonderful bridge between having been ill for so many years with interstitial cystitis and creating a new and healthy life for one's self, and then the ultimate--bringing a new life into the world. How wonderful is that?

Remember what your body is designed to do. Each day we eat, we take that food and liquid in, we assimilate our vitamins and we excrete the balance of what is left over. We cannot do these things if we do not leave time for our bodies to conduct these processes. IN today's worl we run around with busy schedules and eat while working and eat while standing--we multi-task. Remember to try and slow things down a bit. Eat dinner with your family, take a rest in the middle of the day to eat a meal. Most importantly, wake up in the morning far in advance of starting your day.

IC as with any other chronic disease, but perhaps even moreso IC because of the delicate nature of the bladder tissue is a disease from which one must truly fight hard to find thier peace in their body. It is a relentless fight that must be fought with discipline and tenacity from all aspects of one's life. It is not a struggle that can be won by sitting back and letting someone else prescribe medications no matter what treatment you are on.

Understanding the issues that lead up to IC and perpetuate it is an interesting and difficult task. I was speaking to someone today about this subject, a patient whos medical history led her down a road of disaster one decision at a time since her early childhood. None of this was the fault of her, her family, and surely not even her doctors. Everyone was thinking logically and methodically from one step to the next. But, the logic used was one which we subscribe to in our Western society.

As many of you know every week I write something hopefully useful to each of you regarding Interstitial Cystitis. Typically I only post things I know or things that are in article form. This week something came accross my desk that is neither of those two exactly, but because it encapsulates familiar stories of other kinds of medications (not just the one mentioned here) I thought I should bring it to the attention of the ICAMA readers. I sit and listen to story after story of how each person that I treat came down with IC. Or at least my own interpretation of how it happened.

This is only one example, but I think this article regarding this vaccine is important because it addresses many issues surrounding my apprehension to support getting vaccines during treatment or at all. Please read this article, it is worth a minute of your time!http://www.NaturalNews.com/024624.html

You know, it is hard no matter what your profession and what kind of income you bring in to make ends meet. For most of us anyway! Someone asked if you can get well without buying organic. And, I think the answer is a big YES! Of course, organic is best, but, not everyone can do that. I absolutely think you can get well without. But, I have a few tips. Here in LA there are lots of great healthfood stores. But, they are super expensive.
