Please remember if you have IC or you are just prone to UTIs, that washing after sex can almost completely prevent a UTI.

OK so you dont need to leap out of bed to go wash right after making love, but shortly after go wash with some gentle soap and water. This can allow you to avoid having to take things to prevent the UTI from happening whether that be a prescription of an herbal supplement.

Sometimes something really simple works better than more complicated solutions!

OK, I am going to post this bc I keep getting versions of this letter, and I have read some things in this past on this same subject. I have not found any research or sources to quote on this-so I am telling you, that I am just posting information I have been given by laymen.

I do not recommend canola oil for use in cooking, but if it is an extra ingredient in something then I will usually say yes-and I have not noticed any reactions, but perhaps if everyone is looking for this we could collect something useful.

It has been over a year now that this site has been active. I want to say that I am very grateful to be able to provide a place where people in need may find help and empathy and information.

I am also grateful that this site provides a way for people to find people to talk to and to befriend. IN the end, we are the sum of our relationships. Someone who has touched many people leaves their mark on this world and the reverberation of the affect they have on one person will go on to affect many.

I think I will be moving cucumbers to list 2-for those of you who are new, please watch to see how you react to them. I feel like one too many people in the beginning has said they are sensitive to them.

IC is a dreadful condition. There is no doubt. When people come into this clinic and I watch the tears fall across someone's face my heart wrenches each time as if it were the first that I witnessed it.

And, each time, there are cries of fear that no help will ever come. And most of those times are proven wrong, bc help does come.

My answers are always the same-you have to fight this fight. You have to meet your challenge. You have to be determined. I am here as a guide, but I cannot fight for you.

Please remember the importance of everything going in you is not only what you put in your body, but what goes into your spouses body since what goes into his or her body influences his or her sexual fluids and those may be communicated to you.

Recently I had a patient flare suddenly after having sex with her husband when he had sushi! Inconceivable? Not at all! Beer is another common one, or even antibiotics.

So, think about these things if you are having unprotected sex. Many of you are not, but many are. I thought for that reason this was important to post.

...she needs a place bc the kind offer made last week wont work out bc of space. If anyone has the ability to house someone in need to a place to stay here in LA, it would be so great. This person needs a place to stay and someone to help her with cooking and taking her supplements!

If anyone does this, it would be a huge gift.

A patient sent this in-it looks like a great article. I did not read it word for word, but, speed read it. I think it was very relevant to post.
