SOme physicians treating IC use heparin in their instillations. This just came accross my desk and I thought it might be important to post for htis reason.

This link did not work for me either.  I had a friend with bad ic who claimed heparin really helped her "get well"  I never knew it was a blood thinner

I treated with Dr. C.Lowell Parsons at UCSD for a short time.  He was amazingly compassionate and so was his nurse.  I went through trials there and I am almost positive their "cocktails" used heparin.  I actually used to inject sub-Q daily with heparin for blood clotting issues.  That is a SERIOUS drug.  I also think that some saline and some numbing agent (lidocaine) was in there, but you definitely cannot quote me on that because they did not disclose everything to me.

If you type the address in manually the page comes up. I don't know why the link doesn't work. I believe heparin is like warfarin (well-known blood thinner).
