A Comprehensive View Of The Body

I am reminded on a daily basis, but, especially this week how difficult it is to understand what is going on with one's body when going through a health condition of any sort, but particularly with something so challenging as IC.

Even with an education or thorough understanding of the human body without a background in an holistic approach to medicine, the plethora of symptoms that go along with chronic conditions such as IC are frightening. At a glance it would seem that the body is completely falling apart part by part. And, that there are numerous different problems. It is impossible to view all of these things as connected.

After studying health and medicine academically for over 18 years and assisting people with chronic conditions for more than 12 years, I forget that what seems obvious to me is not to the person who is experiencing it.

The condition of as well as the treatment of IC is often accompanied by symptoms such as eye discomfort, blurry vision, muscle or joint pain, swollen glands, headaches, sore throats, pain in the teeth that is so bad that it would be quantified as a 10 on a 1-10 pain scale, mysterious toes pain,
numbness in different areas of the body, weight problems, rashes, twitching or spasms, and the list goes on.

By the time a person has been diagnosed or is presumed to have IC, they have been getting sick for a long time. The body has been so out of balance that it has been effected systemically ultimately presenting with all of the signs and symptoms of IC.

In the struggle towards wellness, one often experiences the things that he or she went through during the course of being more and more imbalanced, but may also experience other problems that did not occurr before. This is very common. This is a big reason why when some of these kinds of patients end up at the doctors office or emergency room repeatedly, that the physician might not seem to take the person seriously. They SEEM like a hypochondriac. However, nothing could be further from the truth. These things ARE all connected. All of your body parts, including your mind and your brain are connected! And these streets go two ways. It is so important to remember if you can just this. Even though you might not have the background to fully comprehend all of the reasons why. Your body is one entity, not many different things. A fragmented view of the body will render a fragmented approach to your health. The body needs to be viewed comprehensively both in diagnosis and treatment. So, when you think you are like an old car falling apart, remember, all of these things are tied together and are more often than not just offshoots of the primary imbalance that is going on inside of you. Getting healthy is getting in balance. EVerything else will fall into place slowly but surely as that approach is taken.
