Flouride

I talk alot about chlorine--no too much about flouride. I thought this article may illustrate some of my own thoughts although written by someone else of course.

Many people still tout the importance of flouride to the health of our teeth. I don't truly understand where all of the confusion has come from, but, I have found more articles discussing the adverse effects of flouride on our health than the opposite.

I though you all might find this article interesting:

Then should we also avoid fluoride in toothpaste?  And are natural toothpastes that use silica for whitening ok?
Re: chlorine, what are your guidelines for use of chlorinated pools & jacuzzis while in treatment?  afterwards?

I recommend natural toothpastes and yes, perhaps non flouridated one are even better, however, if they contain flouride, I have not found that that prevents getting better from the IC- but it certainly does not appear to be healthy. As for chlorine-this is why I recomend spring water, it contains less chlorine and I do not recommend swimming in chlorinated pools or jacuzzis--salt systems or bacquacil systems are OK though. Exposure to chlorine on a regular basis will increase one's chance of cancer by something like 80%-esp of the bladder and colon.
