Last Night's Support Group Meeting

Went super well! An hour and a half flew by! I had to cut it a half an hour short-sorry everyone. My five year old was having a Mommy melt down. As always, I enjoyed listening to everyone, and I learn a lot by listening to everyone's questions. We had a lot of new joiners. The support for everyone is overwhelming in these meetings and I just love having them.

I look forward to next month. If anyone has any left over questions from last night feel free to post here.

I'm sure this question has already been asked, but is there any way (for us who can't join in) to post the Q and A from the phone support group sessions?

It sounds like a great idea, but honestly, I prefer the talks we have during the support group be private bc there are a lot of personal things discussed and I do not want information to be taken out of context, which, it can be in a type written fashion. YOu might try to make contact with another patient and see if she will share the insights she received from the meeting-that way you canget filled in on what you missed!

on taking our herbs and probiotics. I mix them both in room temp water and drink about 20 mins before my meal. Is this right? What is the best way to take them? I see that the probiotics say to take before meals but to take at least two hours away from herbs. Thanks, Tammy

there are many schools of though on when and how to take them. if this is how you have been doing them, this is fine. i often will recommend taking them in different ways with different people.

I was wondering about your views on multivitamins for kids. My son Nate is 4 and we struggle with his diet. We are trying to improve this daily. In the mean time, we have him on the Natren probiotics. I was wondering about giving him a multivitamin. There are soooo many kinds. Do you have one that you could reccomend? Thanks, Tammy

I often recommend juice plus for children. i have not found vitamins i love other than those and i sometimes recommend them and sometimes dont, depending on the child. i think each child has different needs, like adults, and they may need varying kinds of supplements

I am reminded that there was a vitamin i forgot. All one and allone for children rice based. Both are great.

Is the grains ratio supposed to be 1/2 the protein size, 1/4 the total plate (= to protein size) or 1/3 the total plate?
I have conflicting notes - not sure what's right or if depends on the person.
