I have to take supplement, probiotics & follow List 1 for 1/3 proteins, 1/3 starch and 1/3 vegetables. I usually consume indian diet but milk, grains etc my system can't tolerate. Can someone help me with few diet, food suggesstions or some recipesand also stores to purchase good stuff ?
As I'm sure everyone knows, the herbs taste AWUFUL!!!! Does anyone have any advice for taking them in a different way or making the taste better. I am currently taking 1 goldenseal, 1megadophilus, 1 omega & 5 drops of oil of Oregeno in water 3x a day. I would love to hear if anyone has any tricks up their sleeve:)))))
Hi,My name is Amy. I saw Dr. Brizman 2 weeks ago. I have been on the diet for about 2 months although I cheated alittle til I actually saw her. I am on list 1 & am only on my 2nd day of herbs...the most horrible tasing drink I have ever smelled or tasted!!! I have only been doing this 2 days but immediately it made me feel nauseous & dizzy. My pain levels have been down for about 6 weeks with some bad days here & there. Im not sure why she started me on list 1 as I dont seem to have many food sesitivities?
I've been off the radar lately, and just wanted to check in and say that I've been doing a lot better! Over the past couple of months, I've had gradual progress that has given me the ability to function much better. I don't have constant debilitating pain anymore, it's more like discomfort most of the time, with pain here and there. I am still limited in what I can do. Sitting normally still causes me pain, so driving myself is not possible yet, but I can be a passenger in a car by leaning the seat back a little and it's fine!
I just read an interesting post from Sarah C who has discovered that her gut and bladder are interrelated and when her gut acts up so does her bladder. Does anyone else have comments about this?
I am a recovering bulemic (have not purged for 26 years but still have issues with food and on this protocol, my portions are too big.) Dr. B says it will get easier as my body comes more in balance but this is a long standing problem. I think my recovery would go faster if I could balance my portions better and not get so full.
I am in a hotel in Ithaca 4 hrs from my home. Ithought this was going to be a lovely little trip with myhusband. I have generally ben more stable the past few weeks so I thought I might be a little worse but I could handle it. Well, yesterdsya and last night, i flared HORRIBLY and this morning is already bad.
This is a variant of my black tea rant of a week or so ago. I am so bored with List 2 foods and water. Yet, truly where I am, I am not stable even on List 2. I am slowly struggling this week to build up to Vit D a few drops at time. If I go up too fast, I get burning. Then I back off and it stops but I notice that if I have garlic powder during this burning then it really exacerbates it. I remember when I got demoted to List 2 I hoped I would be back on in a week or so. That was in May and it is slow slogging. Does anyone have any new List 2 ideas....
