This is going to blow you away. My daughter had her ears pierced a few months ago and today I noticed that her left one is very red and infected in the back, and there's a blood blister looking thing in there. I took her to a pediatrician thinking they would lance it and give me advice on how to clean and care for it but all they wanted to do was a 10 day course of antibiotics!!!! Doesn't this seem a little over kill or is it just me?
Hi all- I have always been worried about my little Nora. When she was 4 weeks old her growth slowed way down. She is my 3rd child and I am a breastfeeding counselor so I knew she was nursing enough etc. I remember the terrible feelings of anxiety that started for me for the first time in my life because of her growth being so sub par. I did a whole elimination diet to see if she was reacting to foods and her ped suggested that I may have passed a yeast issue to her so I did a bunch of anti fungal treatments which basically pushed me over into IC with a serious cleanse.
Does anyone know of any info on this? I'm due in a few weeks, and I've been researching this, and getting conflicting things on it. Basically I do think it wise to give them vitamin K, but why in a shot!!! I do not think the hospital even offers an oral dose though I plan and seeing if it is a possibility at all. I was reading about this on Mercola's site, and its just so overwhelming.
Can some Moms or anyone really on here tell me what they think? Or am I making a big deal out of it?
My beautiful daughter Aimee is 13. It has been just the two of us since her dad left when she was 2 and we have as a result always been very close. I have always been the strong rock solid mum, who has always been there and handled anything that came our way, I've been her safety and security....
