severe back spasm

Forums:

I amon day 3 of not being able to move pretty much. I know I did this physically -pulling my kids apart in a fight :( -so not related to IC (directly at least) I have tried heat and ice. I am so worried that it hasn't gotten better- it is actually worse today! the event was Friday and the spasm started Saturday morning. Anyone have experience with an muscle spasm? I really can not function. Dr B actually said maybe try chiro which of course scares the hell out of me! But I will have to try something. I can't move!

spoon theory

Forums:

I searched the forum and didn't see this anywhere so I thought I would share.
I tend to struggle with doing too much and exhausting myself, pushing too hard to be at normal energy levels when I'm not.
A good friend shared this with me, although we don't have lupus, the 'spoons' metaphor really helped me for explaining energy levels or lack of to people (and to myself).

Hard time posting?

Forums:

Anyone else having difficulty posting? Really deters me from posting as get halfway through freezes and then deletes my whole post or have to continue to copy and paste my posts to continue to edit or add to a post. Just wondering if it's just me? Haven't had this much trouble since the changes started to this site.

Question for Althea

Forums:

Althea, I saw that you had posted a response to Dr. M's blog about the benefits of Chinese medicine, and you mentioned someone who had gone to a world-renowned pelvic floor therapist and got major help and relief. Do you know who the therapist was? Or is it possible to get my contact information to the patient you were talking about? I don't mind posting it on the forum. I've been in very high pain for the last few months and when I had an exam done by my urologist, he said the highest pain is coming from the vaginal and pelvic floor area.

Water leak (mold and mildew) help I need ideas.

Forums:

we had a busted valve under our bathroom sink.  It was repaired but lots of water leaked out.  We have replaced dried out and replaced the cabinet underneath but the water went onto the carlet in our closet and now our closet has an Odor of mildew.  We are renting and the maintenance people are handling it but what is the ic safest solution for me to ask them to do regarding the carpet?   I don't want to cause myself a flare but the smell needs to go and mildew is not healthy in my home
