The arBeauty not only emanates from the beauty of your heart and soul, it also is an expression of the health of your internal organs. Interestingly, watching people go through this process, people have reported many negative changes in their appearance during the time in which their health began to fail. Skin tone, color, and general appearance can change significantly in either direction depending on the internal environment. Curley hair can even go straight and vice versa.

In trying to make the change from a more common way of life to a more holisitc way of life, one has to examine all aspects of their healthcare choices. Dentistry is another area that is extremely important in this shift in thinking. Diet and healthcare management (what medications you take for example) may affect you tremendously! In search of more alternative dentists in this area, I was referred to a dentist recently. I was doing research on him and found the following information from his website. This is an incredibly interesting page, please read it!

Birth control pills, and hormonal treatments in general can be quite problematic to good health. This is an interesting article regarding how else things that are not "in sync" with the natural balance of you body may effect you:

I just wanted to bring to everyone's attention that there are other parts of tis site I think are not being used or accessed. Especially my gentle products guide, which, I am going to be constantly updating and I also welcome other people to submit suggestions for products they like to add on to the list. It is under the Integrated approach. When you tap on it, more promts open up, and the ginetle products guide is one of them. Success stories are there too.

...and can effect you in all kinds of ways. Insomnia is common with Interstitial Cystitis for all sorts of reasons. Typically in treatment is does improve dramatically or go away completely but, applying the idea in this article and unplugging your electrical equipment before bed may help. Energy emitted by people can effect us, feelings effect us, and even our TVs are affecting us!:) So, unplug your electronics before bed, or just don't have them in your bedroom. It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference.

I am writing my week's end thoughts early because I missed last week and thought I would get a head of this week's posting. The issue that has been on my mind the most these past two weeks is that there are very few people relatively on this board. And, although I am so very happy that of the people that are participating there is a lot of fantastic energy and sharing, in comparison to my patient load, the percentage is incredibly low.

A patient asked me the other day how to speak to her boyfriend about her problem because she is really struggling with vaginal dryness and it is affecting their sex life in a very bad way. On top of, or I should say, as a part of IC, she is experiencing some very strong menospausal imblances that is compounding her symptoms. Her boyfriend has been upset by the disruption in their sex life and the challneges this has presented.

It is hard to understand what we don't see. Why I make the choice to make my own ice cream or cookies, why I buy cookies sweetened with agave of fruit, why I don't cave in when people offer me decadent desserts--ever, is hard for my friends to understand. They all think I am crazy and extreme. I try to pass on this knowledge to my 4 year old who is comparing herself with her little friends and wanting to eat all the goodies they are. I try to explain about the chemicals in certain foods, and eating the same version of things, but the healthier versions.
