I am answering Lisa's last post in another blog bc I think it hits on and brings up a massively important topic. Do you spend time speaking to others about yourcondition or hold it inside? And from where does one draw his or her strength?

I was at the park the other day and saw this middle aged man pacing back and forth. Hewas making hand gestures that were quite intense and appeared to be muttering to himself. This went on for quite a while, and I casually thought to myself, "poor man, a grown up having autism. He is all alone with no Mom or Dad, how is he getting along?" Suddenly as I glanced again a few minutes later, he had turned his position and I could see his ear piece--he was on the phone! I know this is a bit simplistic, but it really

typically with IC one finds that all blood work is normal, however, if something is likely to be out of range, it is often that cholesterol is high. Someone I was speaking to this past week reminded said she had just received her annual blood test results and her previous years elevated cholesterol and sugar had both gone down to normal range. Both were high prior to commencing treatment with me. IT is interesting because people having cholesterol issues worry aboutthe diet I place them on. Medicine today leads the public to believe that high cholesterol

How many times have you said this to a doctor or practitioner? How many times have youbeen shot down by a sharp tongue without an understanding of your position?
It is really sad that most of the medical profession looks upon people having IC as "OCD" or "neurotic" as one patient put it refusing to acknowledge her feelings.

I realized this weekend while sitting in a seminar that most people don't understandthat practitioners are often herbalists OR acupuncturists, seldom both. I myself amprimarily an herbalist, although, of course, I practice acupuncture. The classic textsof Chinese medicine are filled with famous doctors who were one or the other.

The issue of vaccines has been a big one over the last 5 yearsand I continue to contemplate the subject and learn more as each year passes.

Constipation has been a huge topic for a lot of people this week. And, when I say huge, I mean the BMs ARENT! So, this is a big problem. If we are not pooping every dayAT LEAST once per day, we can't be healthy, and certainly, this process is compromised. There are numerous reasons for being constipated, and, those issues need to be worked out individually. But, in the long run the health should improve to the degree thatthe BMS should be rolling by themselves and not dependent upon control. One of my

It was so fantastic today to hear from one of my UK patients that she connected with an old patient through an on-line support group in Europe! An old patient doing well, which, made me super happy. I LOVE when people connect with people and the world proves to be a small place in which we all have common issues that we need to discuss with others. And that our arms may embrace one another through the internet or on the street.
