The HPV vaccine seems to be a HUGE issue these days. I received this articel from not one, but two people today. SO, I thought I should post it. A lot of people ask me if they should get this and some mother's want to give it to their daughters. Maybe think about that:http://www.naturalnews.com/024325.html

Whem one delves into the dietary past of many of the people sufferring from IC, it is not uncommon to see excessive diet soda drinking or the use of sugar substitutes in coffee, etc... I definitely think this is one more thing that adds fuel to the low level brewing fire that preempts IC. And, after many such things, one day, BOOM, the straw the breaks the camel's back. I think researchers will soon find that there is a direct relationship between this an other toxic chemicals on the bladder tissue.

Someone said this week that they noticed feeling worse when they don't eat animal protein. They were wondering if this was their imagination. I confirmed that this correlation is an accurate one. LAck of animal protein may be a contributing facotr in IC as well as an inhibitory factor in not getting well. In my estimation, we need the protein to rebuild damaged tissue in the body, and also to assist in balancing the pH so that the det is not over alkaline. I Know! I know! There is this whole thinking about pH and alkalinity =s health. BUT!

People who come to this website, I hope feel like they have landed on an oasis of hope. Whereas there are so many other sites on IC that make a person feel the doom and gloom of this disorder, I think that this site provides a different perspective. Like the post on affirmations--involving the impact of putting out positive energy to get positive energy back, this site is also dependent upon the positive energetics of thos involved, not only upon the actual positive nature of this treatment.

I get a lot of questions about mamography. And, I often recommend thermography as an alternative. It is the up and coming no-radiographic alternative. This is a great article on this subject: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/08/07/major-conf...

I had a patient this week, who will remain anonymous of course, that was recounting her symptoms over the past month. Her symptoms were numerous and uncomfortable and included nausea, itching, sore throat, dizziness, exhaustion and bloating and gaseousness. But, interestly, during this period, her bladder felt fine. Even more interesting than this is that she had a dream. Her dream was surrounding th events of her recovery. It was elaborate and quite detailed, and synonymous with what was actually going on in her body! The next day, all of those other symptoms were better.

Birth Control Pills are often involved in one underlying contributory factor of IC. As most of you know, I won't even take patients if they are on them or do not wish to go off of them. It is impossible to get someone better on birth control. Women are not informed of the many potential and real side effects of chemical birth control. Here is a tragic story that goes beyond IC: http://www.snopes.com/medical/drugs/dishuk.asp

Synthetic sugar substitutes are just about as bad as, if not worse than, sugar. These chemicals alter the health of your intestines and compromise your overall health. In interstitial cystitis, often, one might find that a part of what has happened to this person is that they have overindulged in diet sodas or used sugar substitutes in their coffee or tea. These chemicals are toxic as far as I can tell from my clinical experience. They put you at risk for potentially terminal diseases.
